Questions?
How would you describe your style?
Candid, timeless, with soft and organic colours <3
How long have you been a wedding photographer?
I've been happily capturing weddings all over the world for over 9 years already.
Where are you located?
I live in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and I spend every European winter in Cape Town, South Africa. You may book me in Europe and South Africa throughout the year.
How do we book you?
You can enquire through the “contact us” tab on the website. You can also request a video-call meeting there if you’d like to. I highly suggest "meeting" your potential photographer before making any decision and discussing terms/fees, as it's so so important to check if there is a "click", if you like the person who might save your wedding memories! I am always happy to chat and answer your questions and it doesn't require booking me afterwards!
When you enquire, please tell me a bit about yourselves and your story, and the vibe you’re planning for your wedding. If you decide to book – I’ll send you the contract and invoice for the deposit. Once that’s done, you can call me your official wedding storyteller!
If you are from Amsterdam or can travel here to meet me beforehand - even better! I like meeting my couples in person.
In any case, we will have a video-call and a pre-wedding consultation, as well as an engagement shoot, so we are sure to be friends by the time your Big Day comes :D
What kind of wedding packages do you have?
I offer 2 types of packages - half day photography coverage (up to 6 hours) and full day coverage (unlimited hours). Every package includes a pre-wedding consultation, engagement shoot (a great ice-breaker!), online gallery with edited hi-res photographs and a small photo book with the best moments.
If you wish to book fewer hours, please enquire to get the hourly options.
Do you have an assistant?
Depending on the size of the wedding and the number of hours requested, I will shoot your special day on my own or with an assistant.
How many photos can we expect?
I normally deliver 800+ edited photos (when it comes to the full day coverage). I love telling stories in the truest way possible and won’t leave out any image that might be special to you or contribute to the story of your wedding day!
Enquire to see the examples of a full wedding gallery.
Do you also make photo books?
Absolutely yes! I offer beautiful customised albums as a top up to any wedding package. You will receive a beautiful small wedding book with the best moments as a cute bonus from me anyway, but if you wish to order a custom-made photo book, please enquire. I will be happy to assist with that!
How far in advance should we book?
I take bookings up to 18 months in advance, but last- minute bookings are always possible. In high-wedding-season dates get booked up real quick, so be sure to enquire as soon as possible. Please send me an email to enquire about your desired wedding date.
Where are you based and do you work internationally?
I am based in The Netherlands (Amsterdam), but I am often in Italy and South Africa for weddings. I’ve shot weddings in the USA, France, Germany, Cyprus, Greece… I would call myself a destination wedding photographer, as I plan my year around weddings in different parts of the world. I’m always keen to travel, so please don’t hesitate to send me an enquiry through the contact form.
You can catch me in The Netherlands and in Italy throughout the year, but please drop me a line regarding other destinations, I will be happy to let you know my travel plans.
What is the golden hour and why should I plan my shoot around it?
The golden hour is the time just after sunrise, or just before sunset- which provides gorgeous warm, soft, romantic light for photos. The golden hour is any photographer’s dream light to shoot in, especially this trigger happy photographer over here! So weather permitting, try and plan your couple shoot session around it, you won’t regret it!
What can I do to ensure beautiful photographs?
Have fun, be adventurous, laugh and be yourself. And trust me!
Light is my best friend as a photographer, and choosing a venue that has lots of natural light (or a white ceiling) means that I get to play nicely to give you the great shots you want. But as a professional, I can guarantee a good result when working in almost any lighting conditions.
When having an outside ceremony, remember to face away from the sun, or at least have some covering over your faces so that you don’t get those not so flattering frowning face shots, caused by looking into the sun.
And please…keep calm and enjoy your day!
