Wedding shoot in the tulip fields
Nicole and Matt flew all the way from Canada to elope in Amsterdam and have their photos taken in the tulip fields. It has always been her dream to see the flowers and wander around Dutch countryside, enjoying the views. We left the city before the sunset, heading to the fields. The photos turned out very sincere and very emotional, just like this beautiful couple <3 I will share their city photoshoot next week as well.
Morning in Amsterdam
Just a warm morning in a beautiful city, two travellers that are madly in love with each other and me, capturing their memories of the trip.
Sunset proposal in Amsterdam
Jeffrey and Naomi are from New York, and a couple of months ago they visited Amsterdam for the first time. This is where he decided to pop the question. Amsterdam was a perfect city (as Jeffrey told me) to propose: it's beautiful, charming, lively and very romantic. It has everything that they love when traveling: great international community, lots of hidden gems and great light. Naomi didn't have a clue. She was impressed. She was happy. She was emotional. And I was there to capture it (thanks to Flytographer for arranging it !).
Engaged in Amsterdam
I always get overexcited about proposal shoots. The level of responsibility is so so high - every emotion, every movement is candid, important, unrepeatable...I get nervous, then happy, then I cry, then I feel blessed. All in all, a hurricane of emotions. Shared with them.
Anthony popped the question on a warm sunny evening in May. Of course, it was a complete surprise! I was there to witness and capture their special moment. Then we walked, laughed, danced and celebrated... One of my favourite shoots for Flytographer.
Secret proposal in Amsterdam
I love proposals. There is something very special in witnessing those bright and emotional moments of two people celebrating their love and deciding to spend many years together.
I'm sharing one of my recent shoots, when I was hiding behind the tree at the beginning, trying to capture every smile and tear of joy. After the proposal I could reveal myself and we had a lovely walk around Amsterdam.
These two on the boat
Mary and Florian. Their love story is very special, very unusual and very inspiring. As well as their sailing story. Buying an old yacht in The Netherlands, transforming it into a cozy shelter, learning to sail and falling in love with the sea...and eventually spending a long summer on the boat! This short photo session was a celebration of their love, youth and a shared passion.
Winter proposal in Amsterdam
I was ready to proclaim December a "proposal month' when my favourite Flytographer consierge team sent me an inquiry from Ryan. He was coming to Amsterdam with the girlfriend to celebrate his birthday in one of their favourite European cities. He's been preparing the proposal moment for almost a year, aiming for Amsterdam and his birthday, to make the moment even more special.
We spent a few weeks chatting on whatsapp and choosing the perfect spot for that special moment. Ryan made me emotional a few times by sending "their" song or telling me about a beautiful phrase "To the ends of the earth" engraved on the ring box...I was very committed to make the proposal shoot as beautiful as possible!
Of course we hoped for a sunny weather, but Amsterdam is so unpredictable. Ryan was very easy about everything, as nothing could stop him from enjoying such an important moment. I think that a misty and grey city was a nice background for the shoot, isn't it?
Family walk in Amsterdam
This lovely family shoot was a beautiful present for a little Julian -what a good idea to capture his smiles and that tenderness between his parents, I hope he will cherish these photographs when he grows old.
Wedding for two in Amsterdam
A beautiful bride Anne contacted me a month before their honeymoon trip to Amsterdam. She wanted a very unconventional wedding shoot for only two of them, in this city full of surprises and bright locations. The dress was made by her grandmother, and it perfectly fit to the mood of the city. I still get amazed by how perfect Amsterdam matched to the mood and character of this outstanding couple!
We spent the whole day wandering around busy streets, parks and the dunes.
