One of the most tender, fun and sincere couple sessions I've ever made. A young love full of hope, happiness and dreams. Looking forward to the wedding of Jess and Ross.

I was ready to proclaim December a "proposal month' when my favourite Flytographer consierge team sent me an inquiry from Ryan. He was coming to Amsterdam with the girlfriend to celebrate his birthday in one of their favourite European cities. He's been preparing the proposal moment for almost a year, aiming for Amsterdam and his birthday, to make the moment even more special.
We spent a few weeks chatting on whatsapp and choosing the perfect spot for that special moment. Ryan made me emotional a few times by sending "their" song or telling me about a beautiful phrase "To the ends of the earth" engraved on the ring box...I was very committed to make the proposal shoot as beautiful as possible!
Of course we hoped for a sunny weather, but Amsterdam is so unpredictable. Ryan was very easy about everything, as nothing could stop him from enjoying such an important moment. I think that a misty and grey city was a nice background for the shoot, isn't it?
This lovely family shoot was a beautiful present for a little Julian -what a good idea to capture his smiles and that tenderness between his parents, I hope he will cherish these photographs when he grows old.
Theo has been planning this trip and the proposal for more than six months. Everything was thought of - a beautiful city, magic Christmas atmosphere and a lovely ring.
I must admit, I love capturing proposals - there is something very special about that happy and bright moment when your beloved man puts into words that desire to spend many years doing life together.
We were hoping for a sunny day and a beautiful sunset, but the weather in Amsterdam is truly unpredictable, so the day was a bit gloomy. Nevertheless, I am sure it was one of the warmest moments for Theo and Maria!
And what a beautiful twilight we had, with Christmas lights everywhere. True magic!
I was a bit nervous at the beginning, as I had to pretend that I as just a tourist with a camera spotting the proposal, but things ran smoothly. I can't describe in words the amount of emotions we all felt, so let the photos speak!
A beautiful bride Anne contacted me a month before their honeymoon trip to Amsterdam. She wanted a very unconventional wedding shoot for only two of them, in this city full of surprises and bright locations. The dress was made by her grandmother, and it perfectly fit to the mood of the city. I still get amazed by how perfect Amsterdam matched to the mood and character of this outstanding couple!
We spent the whole day wandering around busy streets, parks and the dunes.
One of the most memorable shoots in Cape Town for me - this bright, cheerful and very warm family morning at the Llandudno beach. Moments like this make my heart sing.
Blessings and vows...
It was a truly special and emotional experience that I will never forget. LJ and Jenny contacted me just a few months before my usual trip to Cape Town, asking whether I could help them organise a blessing ceremony for family and close friends. They both live in Great Britain but come from South Africa. A year before they got married in London, but a lot of relatives couldn't fly to the wedding. Hence, they've got a beautiful idea: to plan an intimate blessing and vow renewal ceremony in Cape Town.
We set everything on a spectacular empty beach, surrounded by sand dunes and facing the ocean. Only the closest family members and friends attended the ceremony.
Love story all around Amsterdam
Their love story enchanted me from the very first time I heard it. It's a story about something very true and genuine, very big and inspiring. Real love that conquered the distance and cultural differences.
Natasha contacted me a few months before their wedding, we met in Amsterdam and it was love at first sight. I literally couldn't wait till their wedding day, but in themeantime we've met twice to capture some relaxed moments of their love-story in the city that as become her hometown.
Every wedding starts with a proposal...
Oliver has been planning that special moment for quite a long time, and he managed to keep it in secret! He was planning to propose in Florence during a romantic weekend with his beloved Samantha. Accidentally, when he contacted me for a photoshoot we were both in Amsterdam and met shortly after exchanging a few emails.
I was so impressed and touched by the way he spoke about his lady and how well he planned everything: from a trip to the most romantic city in Italy to secretly flying their parents in.
A few months later, on a cloudy warm summer day, I was hiding behind a floral arch in Giardino Bardini trying to capture every moment, every emotion of that beautiful moment.
Have a look together with me.
